Architecture of Challenges. Rebuilding Ukraine Conference

On behalf of the organizers of the Architecture Department of the Warsaw University of Technology, the Royal Lazienki Museum in Warsaw, and the National Heritage Institute, we invite you to the International Conference Architecture Challenges – Reconstruction of Ukraine.
We would like to invite you to participate in a conference on the topic of the broadly understood reconstruction of Ukraine. Not only the future one, but also the one already taking place. Reconstruction includes all aspects of the living environment: architecture, infrastructure, at the scale of cities, towns, villages. It requires thoughtfulness, cooperation and human solidarity on an international scale. The reconstruction of Ukraine is part of a series of activities that represent global challenges. One of the most critical is ensuring access to the dwindling resources of arable land, water, maintaining biodiversity.

The experience of limited access to these basic survival resources raises anew the question of how to shape residential development. Another is the problems of obtaining energy sources that will not adversely affect climate change and cause environmental pollution. The rational layout of the investments undertaken, the use of infrastructure, the use of available materials, including recycled ones, and finding the right answer, both in function and form, becomes an important problem of reconstruction.
