We, Westerners, have an illusion of omnipotence. For generations, we have tried to subordinate the Planet to our needs. Often in a violent and thoughtless way. Anthropocentrism sees Nature as a collection of fragmented resources. Quite the contrary, Nature is an ecosystem of interrelated elements, intertwined in a network of sensitive connections. Such an approach has led to a planetary environmental emergency. A radical, truly committed and science-based change in all domains might lead to the restoration and regeneration of the ecosystem.
Architecture and design can become machines for planetary restoration and regeneration. The guided tour will showcase solutions known from history that proved to have a positive impact on the planet.
Open guided tour in English with the curator, Adrian Krężlik.
