International Built Environment Education Forum | Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River | April 24-26, 2026
The International Built Environment Education Forum is an event that brings together specialists from various countries involved in education on architecture, urban planning, and the environment. It creates a space for collaboration and supports participatory design in small towns.
The theme of this year’s edition is street participation. The program includes workshops, discussions, and activities involving the local community in Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River.
Friday, April 24, 2026: Discovering the Multiculturalism of Kazimierz – Opening
An introduction to the artistic history of Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River and the official opening of the event, combined with a presentation of the laureates of the UIA Golden Cubes Awards, an international prize for architectural education.
Saturday, April 25, 2026: Close Encounters with Architects and Artists – Workshops
Architectural workshops focused on activities with the local community, along with a meeting presenting the developed tools that support architectural education and participatory design in small towns.
Sunday, April 26, 2026: Architecture in School system Education – Debate
A concluding session devoted to evaluating the activities carried out so far and defining directions for the further development of widespread architectural education. Participants will engage in discussions on the possibilities of implementing recommended tools and teaching methods within the education system, as well as exchange experiences and establish connections fostering long-term cooperation between institutions and expert communities.
Participation in the event is free of charge and requires a mandatory application:

Participants are responsible for arranging their own transport, accommodation, and meals.
The event will be conducted entirely in English; a communicative level of English is required.
