Common Space: International Network of Cultural Institutions active in the field of architecture
The project aims to strengthen international cooperation of institutions engaged in architectural culture, urban planning and promotion of knowledge of architectural heritage. In order for such cooperation to be possible, it is necessary to establish direct contacts with representatives of institutions in the Baltic Sea region and Central Europe and create a framework for future cooperation. In ensuring that the exchange of knowledge and experience can take place in a systematic way and that projects can be built together from the conceptual stage, it is necessary to create a framework for ongoing exchange and informing each other about the topics undertaken by these institutions.
The project will be implemented in two phases. During the first, workshops will be held with partner institutions to share knowledge and good practices in building projects in selected thematic areas – education, events, exhibitions, publications, promotion and audience development.
Using the results of the workshops, we will organize a conference in Warsaw in June 2025. The aim of the event is both to expand cooperation and to create a kind of “project fair” in which individual partners can get involved.
The project is aimed primarily at cultural institution and museum staff involved in architecture and urban planning. The conference will also provide an opportunity for Baltic, Nordic and Central European institutions to meet in a wider circle and present the most interesting projects to the public during an open program.
